How to open & edit BricsCAD dwg in AutoCAD LT 2022?

I have recent BricsCAD 2D dwg files, which I want to open and edit in AutoCAD LT 2022.  Is this possible, or will I need to redraw them from scratch?  I notice when I attempt to open the BricsCAD file, a dialogue box opens with a warning that by opening the file I risk instability with AutoCAD program.

No, it is not a problem, save the original file (usual step) and work 

with a copy in your LT,

BricsCAD claims to produce .dwg files so there shouldn't be a problem, just open the drawing and see.

Dwg is a file format read and created by many different software packages, I suppose it is possible that you might find errors (or maybe not) but it certainly won't cause any harm to your AutoCAD LT installation.

the warning simply states the the file came from an outside program: get in the habit moving forward of using RECOVER command to open files from all outside sources whether they use AutoCAD of not, then SAVE after the process is complete.

BUT... it is up to you to decide to use any outside files regardless of the program, no one here is going to green-light it for you sadly.
