How to lock text in drawing

I want to lock text in drawing so that it cannot be deleted. How to lock a text. Is there anyway. If yes please exlain.

In Autocad you can not lock objects, only layers, all objects on locked layers can not be changed.

So long the layer is locked.

No password option, every one can do *all* with digital data.

You asked the wrong questions.

Tell us what and why you want, then all users can post solutions and workarounds.

But i am pretty sure the is no way to do what you (really) want.

Anything you can do in AutoCAD someone else can undo in AutoCAD: that is how the program is designed to work.

What are you trying to prevent from editing exactly? and why? There may be another solution, or no solution, it depends on your exact and very specific need.
