How to independently edit a layout?

Hi All,

I'm a novice AutoCad LT 2019 user and would appreciate help with an issue.

How do I edit a single layout in a multiple layout file without the change appearing in all layouts?

For example, if I draw a line on one layout, the same line appears on all layouts..

Thanks in advance

it depends on what kind of edit you want.

1. if you need to fully edit an object without messing with the the same object in different layouts you need to go to model space and make a copy  of what ever it is your trying to edit just to the left, make your edits to the object, then go back to the layout tab double click in the viewport and pan to the left to find your edited object.

2. if you need to just do marks ups or a note then simply just draw or type in paper space without clicking in the viewport
