How to have driving dimensions like in Solidworks

Hi,

I'm new to Autocad, trying to learn the best way to work. Is there any option to have dimensions that drive the size of an object? For example, in Solidworks, I can draft a rectangle and put a couple of dimensions, and then I can change the rectangle size just typing the desired values in each dimension. Moreover, if my environment is set to IPS, I can input dimension values in metric just adding the right suffix (for example 10 mm).

Is there something similar in Autocad?

Thanks

Tis is not the AutoCAD forum: this is the LT variant's forum.

LT versions of AutoCAD don't do that, this low-cost program is not comparable to SOLIDWORKS at all: you're going to have to learn to dimension with a lot less automated control here. Sorry.

SOLIDWORKS's comparable option from Autodesk is INVENTOT (and FUSION I believe): totally different programs.

AutoCAD, never the LT versions, has Parametric Tools (like in your video) if you want to purchase 4x the amount of $$ to subscribe to that software and just give up your LT subscription.
