Without seeing your screen, I would suggest typing "UCS" press enter "W" enter "PLAN" enter enter, which should take you back to the "top" view of your drawing and will zoom extents. If for some reason that still leaves you with problems then it would help if you could post the dwg file.

Use "PLAN" command. then pick the option "World".

Try it 🙂

Thanks for the solution but still doesn't help me, Im drafting in 2D but for some reason my text shows up as outlines, and every time I Pan, my computer gets laggy and slow because it's on 3d mode.

I later found out that on the top left of your Model space it shows only

[-][Top][Wireframe]

click that [Wireframe] and change it to 2D wireframe.

Hope this helps the people who has the same problem

Go the the View tab, then select 3D Views, then select Top.  Worked for me.

If you select Plan View instead of Top, then you have to deal with coordinates.  I only do 2D so don't use that other stuff, don't know how, and don't care.

After View and 3D Views, you can play around with  some of the other functions in there but in 2D I am not sure they do anything worthwhile.  Who knows.

2D wireframe sorted it out for me. Got rid of the 3D lag I was suffering. Cheers!

Type WSCURRENT and enter "Drafting & Annotation".  You can also change it by using the little setting gear at the bottom right of the screen.  Hope this helps!!
