How to edit multiple MText elements

After importing a Microstation drawing into AutoCAD 2018 the text does not import correctly. It turns out the Tracking (text width) value is wrong, it has defaulted to 0.75 rather than 1.

How can I edit this value globally rather than editing each individual text?

By selecting SELECTSIMILAR I can highlight all text but can't get to the Formatting menu to edit them all.

Thanks.

PROPERTIES command will let you do that if the changes are not overrides inside each MTEXT object. If they are, there is a free STRIPMTEXT lisp that will let you select which overrides to remove, do a quick search around here.

Thanks Pendean. Looks like I will need the STRIPMTEXT via the APPLOAD command, unfortunately I'm on the LT version and this does not have the APPLOAD command available. So although you method may have worked I am still at a loss.

Cheers.

Does matchprop work?

Let's see an example of this drawing.

Thanks. Matchdrop doesn't give an option to edit the Tracking value. No need to show an example, in AutoCAD just try and edit two separate text instances at the time by getting to the Formatting menu.

Wish you said you were using LT earlier: you now need to open and edit each MTEXT object manually if PROPERTIES / MATCHPROP methods do not work

I'll ask the moderator to move your post to the LT forum.

Have you verified that it is indeed an override that has been applied within the editor? I can't see how that would happen if the value is not present in the MicroStation file.

Posting a file just might get you a solution that you can work with instead of guesses based on limited information.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
