Hdw Acceleration keeps crashing

Hi there,

My company recently upgraded our CAD dept hardware as everybody was just on 7+ year old hardware and it was showing it's age. With constant freeze ups. I do know as a newer employee here we do not do things super efficiently. Not utilizing sheet sets, our block library of parts is outdated and has many issues. Hardware was killing our productivity and having us barely keeping up with demand. Thankfully I was the front runner for getting us new hardware. I spec'd out custom built rigs:
14900k

128gb DDR5

Went the Radeon Pro W7700 Route instead of NVidia just for AutoCAD certificated GPU drivers.

Samsung 990 1tb

I have been running the machine about 1.5 weeks and been fine tuning and working out the "custom" bugs. The only one I haven't been able to figure out is the graphics driver or something keeps crashing maybe once a day. my 3 screens flash to black and back on. AutoCAD turns hdw accel off. Which I can turn right back on. I already set this to DirectX 11 which lessen the frequency they happen but none the less still happen I'm running the 23.Q4 driver. We had freeze up issues with our company rollback software, but once we caught on to it all CAD computers were exempted from the list.

My questions to all of you is, is there a root cause of this? I know AMD isn't the preferred but it was within the budget for an AutoCAD certified GPU with 16gb Vram. Is it a driver issue? AutoCAD issue? Or boil it down to a hardware issue to RMA?

The exact version of AutoCAD you are using as listed by the ABOUT command inside it is...?
You exact OS is...?

A screenshot of your GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-up would be helpful, as is information about where you all store files and how you access them (is this a VPN situation for example).

Any difference if you were to change the 2D Display Settings from Advanced to Intermediate or Basic?

Still need a screenshot from your LT2025's GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-up (both tabs too).

Also consider starting GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort, and start a support ticket through your subscription portal as explained here

I think I figured it out, but today will tell. I started scouring though event viewer trying to find something to verify what was happening. It just so happens Windows kept pushing a GPU Driver update, after every crash I have to reinstall my driver, and at the exact time of a crash, the driver was successfully installed. So with the local admin account on the PC i went through there to the group policies editor and enabled the "Do not include driver updates with windows" policy. So far so good. Ill update later today if the problem persists so there is a record for anyone else that may have this issue in the future
