I have a box constructed of 4 black lines (an exploded rectangle). I can add any color (gray in this case) hatch using any pattern to the interior of the box. All is good and working as expected to this point.
However, I now want to change the existing color (gray) of the hatch pattern to some other color. I move the cursor and select (left click) the hatch pattern on the interior of the box (avoiding the 4 perimeter lines (no window selection done here)). The properties dialog box now shows "Color" = "VARIES" (indicating, to me, that more than 1 object (the hatch pattern) was selected). It appears by selecting (left click) the hatch pattern the perimeter shape lines are included. Also, if I select the hatch pattern to delete it, the perimeter shape lines are deleted too.
Why does selecting the hatch pattern also include the perimeter shape lines (any shape, any number of lines, exploded or PEDIT Joined)? Is there a hatch selection setting to control this?
