Hi @Anonymous,

Is this happening just with one file? If so, try running Recover on it. Please let me know if that gets the file open or not. You are welcome to attach a sample file here as well so that I might duplicate on my side.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Hello @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

If you could provide a sample file and a bit more detail of your fatal error issue that would be helpful when troublshooting your problem.

Does this happen with all files?

Are you files saved locally or to a network or cloud?

Is this happening for multiple users?

LT2013 is not new.
Win7 is not new.

So what is new with the PC or network or where the files are located? Something changed to trigger these crashes I suspect.

As a test to see if AutoCAD LT 2013 continues to crash can you try the following:

  • Save a file locally
  • Log on as a different windows user:
    • Create a new user account with full access and test AutoCAD LT 2013 in that environment.
  • Run your OS in a selective start up and test AutoCAD LT in that environment.

Have you applied all updates to AutoCAD LT 2013: AutoCAD LT Downloads

What about the questions I asked above? If you ignore questions asked it will take longer to help you remotely with your old software.

Also: Is the problem unique to one user? or ALL users?
Is the problem limited to one file, certain files, or every single file?

@Anonymous,

You can try the following to see if it helps( reference: AKN article😞

If you are able to open the drawing:

  • Save the drawing to an earlier dwg version or use the DXFOUT command to save the file as a dxf and then use the DXFIN command to save the file back to DWG format.

If you aren't able to open the drawing:

  • Use a tool to convert the dwg-file into a dxf-file

It would be helpful if you can confirm the following:

  • Issue with all files even a brand new file
  • Issue with all users even a brand new user account
  • Issue still occurs in a selective start up

Would it be possible to provide a sample file too?

Looking at the crash report at first glance I would recommend the following.

Uninstall/ Re-install Microsoft C++

Uninstall/ Re-install Microsoft .NET

The Microsoft visual run time populated seemed to raise a flag. It could be a mixture of both C++ and .NET.

I would also suggest disabling the desktop app.

I couldn't clearly determine what graphics card you are running on this system, are you only running a Intel HD Graphics card? Are you running AutoCAD LT 2013 on a laptop?
