Hello,
I'm running AutoCAD 2014 LT on a fairly new computer with Windows 8 and yesterday it started giving me an error message everytime I try to start it up. The message reads:
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 5610694bh
I tried a few different things to fix it (ie: ran the latest service pack, uninstalled then reinstalled AutoCAD) and haven't had any luck so far. I've also submitted a few error reports and sent a support request to Autodesk, but I haven't heard anything back yet.
Any help would be appreciated, I need to get my AutoCAD running as I'm falling behind on drafting work. Thanks in advance.

Hello
Welcome to the Autodesk/AutoCAD Forums !
Q1) You are using Win 8.0 OR Win 8.1 ?
Q2) Is it a 32 bits OR a 64 bits version ?
- You have installed the SP 1 for 2015 and you have the same problem ...
Q3) Your 2015 run without any problem during how much time about ?
Q4) Windows Automatic Update is ON ?
You can look at this :
And maybe here :
But I think it is not your problem !?

Oh my goodness the solution related to the LAN settings worked! Once I unchecked "Automatically detect settings" AutoCAD opened up with no issues, thank you Pat!
Hard to believe one litte checkmark could cause me so much grief! I had found your other link and already attempted most of the proposed solutions.
For your future refernce:
Q1) Windows 8
Q2) 64 bits
- Service pack for 2014 version, as that is the one I am running.
Q3) FATAL ERROR would show up during startup, program didnt even have a chance to finish loading.
Q4) We currently have Windows automatic updates turned on.
Thansk again!
Tom
