Extending polyline

I have problem with extending polyline.

Example 1: When I choose normal line and select grippoint -> with dynamic input on, pointing direction with mouse and typing number 10 -> line extends 10 drawing units

Example 2: When I choose polyline and select grippoint -> with dynamic input on, pointing direction with mouse and typing number 10 -> polyline lenght becomes 10 drawing units

Is there a way to make polyline work same way as normal lines? Im really losing my mind here since there are drawings with both linetypes.

I'm not sure if they can be made the same. After you pick grip, you can use tab to flip between total length and added length, and angle. You could also use Qselect to select all the lines in the drawing and convert them all to polylines with right click menu. Then they would all be the same.

Is there a system variable for changing the default input for polyline?

I would like to change it from total lenght -> added lenght

I think the suggested method for converting lines in LT 2014 is not possible.
