ETRANSMIT does not work

Hello,

I have strange problem with ETRANSMIT command. After collecting the info about the drawings to be included in the package, the progress bar shows adding the files as usual, and at the end it quits showing the attached message. The position IS writable and DOES have space. It happens both at local and network disk.

AutoCad LT 2013

Any ideas other than resetting the app will be greatly appreciated.

How big is the drawing you're trying to etransmit?

Have you done a PURGE and AUDIT on it? Just in case there are any errors, or it's too bloated for etransmit.

Thanks for the input.

It does not work on any drawing. I just created new drawing with one line and the transmittal contained only the file (size 143K), the plotter config file and the STB file.

It failed again.

So, size and/or errors in file are irrelevant.

Some new info:

I just found out the files are actually being prepared for archiving in the system TEMP folder. Obviously the process fails when it attempts to create the ZIP file.

"writable" is the operative word here, size of the file may be secondary: AutoCAD requires full read/write/rename/delete and the last two are usually the key to the problem.

What is your OS? Are you logged into the OS as full or local admin, or a limited/restricted user account?

Thanks

OS: WIN7 PRO 64bit

Logged as Administrator on my machine

Logged as user with full rights to the folder on the server (but this is not relevant imo - the process fails also on local machine)

The fail happens only on etransmit, both on local disk or at the file server. Otherwise all software (Autocad, OpenOffice, DiaLUX...) works fine, opens files, changes them, deletes if nessecary...

I just tried to create the transmittal in "My Documents" folder (I never use it otherwise) - same (lack of) result 😞

Does an etransmit work on any of the standard template drawings?

Hello !

Meeting the same problem this morning. I could swear my config hasn't changed since last time I've used eTransmit but...

I was very happy when I saw that the problem was well known and documented.

I've made the required changes. But it still doesn't work. The context :

Windows 7 64 bits - AutoCAD LT 2013

I've found 3 occurrences of DZIP32.DLL.

The most recent is 5.00.05, located in ..\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2013

I,ve renamed the others and copied the "good" one to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Dzip32.dll

Same with dunzip32.dll.

Same problem. Acad won't write the zip file. Tried to save it on the server, on a NAS, even on the Desktop. No change. I've got plenty of space on the disks and all the required rights.

Any idea ?

Thanks !

Hello again !

I've got it. Sorry...

One of the XREF files, provided by an architect, includes a PNG logo.

I've tried to exclude the PNG file from the eTransmit archive. No problem any more.

I've replaced the PNG file by the same logo in JPG format and everything has run smoothly.

I still don't understand what can be wrong in a PNG file...
