DWG To PDF wont plot tiff

I am trying to print a redlined revision for a submittal.  I made a ctb file that printed red to red and created a file with a tiff as a background and drew overtop with red lines.  It printed OK but I decided I needed 2 different red line weights.  I modified the ctb so yellow printed as a slightily heavier red line.  After that it would only print the red lines with no tiff background.  I found I could close the ACAD session and reopen and then I could print.  I did it several times as I tweaked my ctb file.  

That was yesterday.  Today, when I have to deliver, no matter what I do it will not print the tiff.

I'm running AutoCAD LT 2014 and using the DWG to PDF.pc3.  Any suggestions?

TIFF? but you are talking about plotting to PDF: so what's your TIFF methodology? It would appear that's broken and outside of AutoCAD/LT.

The tiff was exported from a scanned pdf.  The tiff was not edited between the time it worked and the time it did not.  

I left out before that the tiff looks fine on the preview.  

Today I copied the Red-is-Red.ctb into the plotter configuration directory for DWG Trueview 2013 and managed to get it to plot fine from that program despite still being unable to plot it in ACAD LT 2014.

The tiff is being used as a background image. I am trying to print to an acrobat file and the tiff does not display.

so you have a TIFF file inside a DWG file, as a background image, and you are plotting the DWG file to PDF but the TIFF file remains invisible.

You probably have either 'transparency' on in LT2014 (and not DTV2013) or some other PLOT setting that is different between the two programs since they are otherwise truly identical AFAIK.

The transparency on the object is by layer.  Tranparency of the layer is 0.  This particular setting should impact the plot the same using DWG Truview or ACAD LT, wouldn't it?  I tried changing the transparency to 10 that did not work.  I tried 90 and that did not work either.  I sort of expected to see a difference in the preview between those two settings, but did not.  I changed it back to 0.

I looked throught the Plot Configuration Settings and did not find anything I though was relevant.

On Page Setup 'Plot Transparency is not checked.  I changed this and tried to plot with no change.  I changed it back.

Nothing seemed to apply on the Plot and Publish tab in options.
