drafting rectangles problem

Hi there, my name is Zach.

I've suddenly run into a problem when trying to draw rectangles in autoCAD LT. When I begin to draw a rectangle, the measurements of the x-axis and y-axis do not appear. However, the dimensions do appear for any other shape such as the circle tool or the line tool. Does anybody know why this is happening?

Thanks!

Zach

First thought was that DRAGMODE was not set to AUTO (you can check), but if it wasn't, you probably would not see other shape previews (circles, ellipse, etc.)

It may be a display adapter/driver issue.

If you draw a perfectly horizontal or vertical line, does it preview OK?

If you draw a rectangle on an angle, does it preview OK?

Yes. The ortho shows correctly for horizontal and vertical lines. However I
did find another problem as well. When I try to use the offset tool, the
prompt to insert the offset amount does not show up either. I’m thinking I
might have clicked something by mistake.

Did you check to make sure DRAGMODE is set to AUTO?

Are you talking about DYNMODE. Change the value to 1

I couldn't figure out how to do a video, but here are some pictures. The first picture shows how when making a rectangle, the ortho does not appear. However the other pictures show that with other drafting tools, it does. I also can not see the ortha when using tools like the offset tool and the divide tool Screenshot (3).pngScreenshot (4).pngScreenshot (5).png
