double-click to edit leader not working

I have AutoCad LT 2014. I use Qleaders for text/arrows and have always been able to double-click on the leader line to change the arrow (to a dot, for example) - a small window would appear with options. Now when I double-click on it a blank 1-line box appears that I've never seen before. I've attached a screenshot. If I click on the 'customize' button just to the right of the blank text line, it crashes Autocad every time.  If I click on the Options button to the right of that, and select customize, same thing - crashes. If I select Options, then Settings, it takes me to the Quick Properties settings tab - I've attached a screenshot of that as well.

This 1-line box appears when I double click the plain line in my test drawing as well.

I've tried QPMODE at 0 and -1 and they do the same thing. If I change QPMODE to 1 or 2, it's worse - the box appears even with a single click to select an object. 

Any idea how I can get AutoCad back to the way it was?? Or how it got into this state?

I suggest you make sure the PICKFIRST variable is set to 1

Type CUI in the Commandline

Open the line 'Double click Actions'

Are there any actions set?

Like for the Leader or the Text?

What changed on your PC recently?
What is your Windows OS version?
Can you change the arrow in PROPERTIES command?
Did you recently run a Windows Registry Cleaner, or install a new anti-virus software that did that for you perhaps? A common symptom is blank pop-ups and PROPERTIES command entries.

Under CUI, double-click actions: Leader is set to QUICKPROPERTIES. But even typing in the QUICKPROPERTIES command on the commandline brings up the same blank 1-line box.  PROPERTIES brings up some settings but not the ability to change the arrow. I noticed also that when trying to use PROPERTIES on a dashed line to change the ltscale (of that line only) changing the value in the PROPERTIES box did not change the line.  So it's still not working properly.

I recently uninstalled Autodesk 360 - I never use it and it was popping up messages all the time (about something expiring I think?). I just googled and found something that says that uninstalling it will cause palettes to have problems - is this what I'm seeing?! 

Do you know if I can just re-install Autodesk 360 or do I have to start over with AutoCad install??  I have changed so many settings in AutoCad, I would hate to have to reset everything and start over...

So when your Quick properties dialog is empty, is it completely empty or are the 'borders' available?

On the Top Right beneath the 'close' there should be an extra 'options' button.

Open this and choose 'customize...'

Activate which properties you want to see.

If there is no 'options' button you should try to reset your ACADLT cuix. (Cui -> Rightclick on ACADLT and choose Reset)

Otherwise you should try a complete reset as @pendean suggested.

You probably should have just turned off A360 instead of uninstalling it.

What kind of changes did you make exactly?

Following up on your thread, it appears that several folks have tried to help on this issue.

Were you able to find a solution? Or a workaround? Did any of the posts in the thread help with your issue?

Please post back in the thread if you are still having an issue with AutoCAD LT I'd be happy to help to the best of ability.

Thanks - I am pretty sure that the problem exists because I uninstalled
Autodesk 360. I realized that I noticed the problem shortly thereafter,
and googled a bit and learned that this in fact can cause similar
problems. I just haven't had time to uninstall and re-install AutoCad
with 360 again to confirm that it goes back to the way it was. I assume
that having to re-install autocad means I have to redo all my
customizations and preferences, so that takes time... I wish Autodesk
360 had a warning about un-installing!
