Hi
I am replacing my IT with a new laptop which will be used for occasional CAD work in LT.
I am looking at an i7 processor, 32GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 620. All this suggests a 1920 x 1080 resolution and Direct X 12 compliance.
Autodesk advice suggests "Windows display adapter capable of 1920x1080 with True Color capabilities and DirectX 9 ¹. DirectX 11 compliant card recommended.".
Will LT run OK on my proposed system or must I go for a machine with a dedicated graphics card?
Thanks
Here is a page that might get you started on finding a recommended/certified graphics card.
You'd want to pick the right workstation based on your production requirements. If your drawings will be heavy in detail and include a lot of data you should look to adding a graphics card based on that. There are a few other threads that have great user feedback on graphics cards that they chose/use. I'll circle back with those links.
To add you can reference these links for additional user suggestions:
Best PC configuration for Autocad 2016?
Your link gives Error 404, page not found. I was directed to the same page when I installed 2018lt this morning and apparently my graphics card was found wanting.
That's pretty much what the message said.
I have a NVIDA Quadro 2000 video card, I'll assume it is ok until I find out otherwise.
( I kind of hijacked this thread when I saw the same page re-direct I had this morning)
@ biedanne,
I tried the links again today and re-added them they should be working now.
Your Nvidia 2000 card has been tested and certified for AutoCAD based off of certified hardware tool;
If possible could you add screengrabs of the message or errors that you receive if there is still an issue? Thanks so much!
