Dimension update

I recently ugraded to ACAD LT 2016 and the dimension update command is no longer valid.  DIMSTYLE is used when changing from a 3 place decimal to a 2 place (or vice versa) and then followed by the UPDATE command and selecting the dimensions requiring change.  What is an efficient way to accomplish this since the UPDATE command is no longer recognized?

I'm unsure about your sequence from your type message alone, can you confirm you are changing the settings in the DIMSTYLE pop-up, then starting -DIMSTYLE command (there is a dash in the name), selecting or typing UPDATE, then selecting the dimension objects you wish to change?

And are you sure these dimensions use the dimension style you edited?
Can you confirm by using PROPERTIES command and seeing what other overrides may be in place?

Here is the macro I use to do what you are asking.  This is in my tool palette.  I attached my dimoveride palette to show the overrides I use all the time.

^C^C_dimoverride;dimadec;2;;

You can also do this from the command line also by typing dimadec>enter, then enter 2.  Now do the dim update from command line by typing dim>enter then type update.  Now pick the item to be updated.  There is also a dimupdate button on the dimension tool bar.  I prefer the tool palette macro.  This all works on LT2015, I haven't loaded LT2016.

To the LT2016 users, is the dim update command really gone?

I hope this helps,

That is it; instead of using the update command, it is-dimstyle. (be sure to use a dash)
