Dimension Tick Mark color can't be changed

I am a novice with AutoCad, I have been using LT for about 10 years off and on so sorry in adbvance if I am missing something. I am running LT 2021 and have tried many times to change the tick mark color in the Dimension Style Manager but have yet to find a place to edit tick color. The line color can be changed but not the tick mark. It shows up purple and prints the same even if the plot style is set to monochrome.stb. I have highlighted the dimension line and opened properties but still no option, any help would be greatly appreciated!

So this is an issue in ALL of your DWG files, on just this one or just a few you received from an outside source (or you copy/pasted something from another file into yours)?

The Dimension tickmark is a block: in your file it may be someone edited that block (or created/set their own block) to do what you see. EXPLODE a dimension you create off to the side, then edit the tickmark block with BEDIT or REFEDIT commands to set the content layers to layer zero and remove any color overrides that do not match your layer0).
