DATALINK DOES NOT POPULATE IN MODEL SPACE AFTER COMPLETING THE ACTION

USING LT 2021 AND THE DATALINK FUNCTION TO POST AN EXCEL NAMED RANGE OR DATA RANGE INTO MODEL SPACE.  WHEN I COMPLETE ALL ACTIONS IT DOES NOT SHOW UP.  IT SAYS "DATALINK" ABOVE THE COMMAND BAR BUT THEN THAT GOES AWAY AND NOTHING HAPPENS.  CHECKED ACTIVE LAYER AND ALL ARE ON.  TRIED MANIPULATING THE ADDITIONAL OPTIONS SUCH AS CELL CONTENTS AND CELL FORMATTING TO NO AVAIL.  CHECKED THE PATH WAS GOOD TO NO AVAIL.  TRIED LINKING THE ENTIRE SHEET, A NAMED RANGE, AS WELL AS A CELL RANGE.  IT SHOWS IN THE PREVIEW AREA, BUT DOES NOT POPULATE.

Can you post a screenshot of your DATALINK command pop-up ready to go "just before you click OK"?
And a screenshot of the "... IT SAYS "DATALINK" ABOVE THE COMMAND BAR BUT THEN THAT GOES AWAY...".

What are you expecting it to do? It creates the data link.

Did you run the ._Table command and insert a table that is using this data link as a source?

Did that fail? Is there no data link listed in the ._table dialog box?
