Dashed Line Display Generation Issue

Hi,

When drawing a dashed line/polyline in AutoCad LT 2023, there is a small offset from the endpoint or start point of the vertex. This is a consistent issue with all dashed lines not showing up properly in AutoCAD but properly on print.

Here are a couple things I have already tested:

- This is only happening on my machine, no one else in my office has this problem, even when opening the same file.

- This issue is present is all of my AutoCAD files.

- The CAD prints correctly but is displaying wrong.

- Enabling and disabling the line does not fix it.

- This happens to both polylines and regular lines.

-I have regenerated and audited the files multiple times

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Solution! Disabled the Hardware Acceleration in Graphics Performance and the issue is fixed. Might need to upgrade my graphics card.

Or perhaps before disabling hardware acceleration, try the following:

At AutoCAD command prompt enter: GFXDX12 and set to 0 then restart AutoCAD

If still no go, then at AutoCAD command prompt enter GraphicsConfig and under 2D Display Settings choose another option.

If still no go, try updating your graphics card driver in Windows.

Thank you! I had to do the following;

At AutoCAD command prompt entered GFXDX12 and set to 0 then restart AutoCAD

No joy after restarting, so

At AutoCAD command prompt entered GraphicsConfig and under 2D Display Settings - chose Intermediate

It worked!

Thank you so much 🙂

You’re welcome. Now in sone occasions updating the graphics driver may eliminate the need to change the 2d Display Setting….cheers!!!
