Creating a bottom-up table

Hi,

I use AutoCAD LT 2010 on Windows 7 Professional

How do I create a bottom-up table?  I can create a normal top-down table, and change the bottom two rows so that they are Title and Header, but every time I insert a new row, the table shifts down. I understand a bottom-up table will allow new rows to keep the bottom of the table fixed, but I can't find how to change the style.

Additional question - how do I ensure that the new rows inserted are of the size text I want, rather than the default size for the table?

Many thanks in advance,

Stephen

Have you explored the TABLESTYLE command?

Use the add-a-row method that asks you where you want it, above or below another: Select an existing row, right-click, then chose the location for the new row. Own the process, don't just assume AutoCAD can guess what you are thinking.

I did try that, Dean, but unfortunately adding a line (whether above or below) still shifts the table in the same direction.

Cheers!

I have also found that if I select the whole table (by creating a box around it, rather than by clicking it), use right click to get properties, one property is table direction. Change Down to Up, and you're done.

Hey Guys.

Yes changing the direction to up works. However I have a different problem. I already have data in the table and then by doing the swop from "down to up" it throws my data arouns as well. So 1-10 lines go up from bottom to top. After flipping the table it reads 10-1 bottom to top. Any idea how I can avoid it doing this? See attached doc.
