Converting Chief Architect files to DWG

I am an architect running AutoCad Lt 2016  A contractor/client wants to do a remodel to a project he owns. It was prepared in 2007 using Cheif Architect.  Is there a conversion program or method out their that will allow me to open these files in Auto Cad Lt and save them as .dwg foles for my use?

You need to buy Chief Architect if they don't have an trail version you can use for this task. Google that product and visit their support forums to search for other options.

Thought of that myself, but the trial version will not convert files dwg format.  I am also not very like to pay a few thousand dollars to convert a file too autocad.

Head over to that software vendor's support webpage and see if they have a low cost or free solution for converting their custom unique files formats to something universal like DXF (or DWG).

Autodesk offers nothing and a quixk Google Search offered no free solution either https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en#hl=en&q=convert+chief+architect+to+dwg

Good luck.
