May I ask if there is an actual performance problem you are experiencing, or are you, like me, just simply over fascinated with watching background apps in Windows?

Your LT version is....?
Your Windows version is....?

I just noticed this recently, wondered why my Win 10 Tablet was running the fans when I was only using Edge and Writer and found Chromium processes consuming 50% processor. It has Revit and AutoCAD Architecture installed, but wonder if Autodesk is to blame?

Most likely one or more of these programs is not fully closing: I notice that sometimes in Win7 and WIn10 equally, a restart of the PC is often the cure.
What year versions are all of your software?

How do you close the programs? Or do you keep them open all day as you work?

Which WIn10 Tablet?

Following up on your thread, it appears that several folks have tried to help on this issue. Were you able to find a solution? Or a workaround? Did any of the posts in the thread help with your issue?

Please post back in the thread if you are still having an issue with AutoCAD or Select Accept as Solution for the post’s that helped.

Thanks for your time.

I found it was the Autodesk Desktop App. There was an update for that (in prep for 2018 products) and I haven't seen this since.

If you want to track source select the process in Windows Task Manager Processes tab, image name column, right click and choose open file location. it will show you the source

You can safely uninstall the Desktop App: it is a resource hungry nanny service no one really needs.

This guy's post fixed it for me.  Chromium still runs, but it doesn't use any resources anymore:

"Okay so I tried all the methods above, and the only one that actually killed it was to go into task manager, under "startup" right click the Autodesk icon and disable, then go into "details" and right click -> "end process tree" on the autodesk desktop program. That immediately killed all the clones of acwebbrowser.exe, and my computer is finally silent again..."

Good Luck

Thanks, that worked for me too. I've been trying to find a solution for weeks.
