so as i have read around it seems like autoCAD LT does not support parametric constraints. which makes it quite useless for actual work.

how do you guys do such a simple task as precisely editing the length of a line?

Is this a line in a block?

If it is a normal line you can

1. Select it and if one of the end grips is an arrow move in the direction you want to go and depending on a setting in options it will either stretch by the number you give it or it will become the length of the number you give it.

2. Use the lengthen command. Press T for total. Give the length and your line will become that long.

That's what I do, others may do it differently

woah, so this works albeit there are too many steps for such a simple task. i am used to solid works where you just click the line and the length box just pops up.

thanks
