Block Transparency Not Correct when Used with Multileader

I have a block which has transparency set to ByLayer. This block works perfectly normal when used by itself - meaning the transparency changes if the if layer is changed. However, I have tried using this block with a multileader and the leader has the correct transparency of the layer, but the block is displaying as if it has transparency of 0. The properties show that the transparency is still ByLayer. Other attributes, such as the color, change correctly if moved to a different layer - it seems that transparency is the only thing not working correctly.

That's a known issue (no fix?) but... Share your DWG file with that block and separate mleader side by side on that layer please.

Thanks for the reply - that really stinks. Here's an example .dwg.

try this: use BEDIT command to open your block, select EVERYTHING, then select this

This works for existing multileaders, but in the instance I need to copy the multileader - or, insert it from a tool palette, it gets reset. We have thousands of these across hundreds of .dwgs. Thank you, though.

Sadly the core of the program needs to be changed by Autodesk.
