Wow! Autosave files should be deleted automatically after a save. Did you do something to prevent this?

By default, .bak files are created in the same folder as the .dwg. Did you do something to change that?

Not all temp files are "temporary"

and AutoCAD creates .bak files there too, if you saving in older fileformat versions than the native format.

They are in my world. I delete them all on a regular basis.

I avoid doing this. Exporting is a much better option.

@justinQBBDW Did you ask your IT folks yet about that system level error that LT is reporting? After restarting your PC to ensure the problem was not just a temporary system hiccup.

IT passed me to Autodesk.

Backup Files
Displays the drawing files that may need to be recovered after a program or system failure. A top-level drawing node contains a set of files associated with each drawing. If available, up to four files are displayed including

The recovered drawing file saved at the time of a program failure (DWG, DWS)
The automatic save file, also called the “autosave” file (SV$)
The drawing backup file (BAK)
The original drawing file (DWG, DWS)

I'm not getting the sV$ files any longer Bak files are sporadic also and lagging. Even at 1 minute intervals.

Since this issue i do not get the option to recover a drawing automatically after AutoCAD LT Crashes.

I have auto saves at 1 minute intervals. usually there is an up to date files i can rename as a .dwg to recover up to date information.

That is an unwise setting: 10 minutes is enough, you also need to use RECOVER command to open all of your files ALL the time for the next week or month (if your file has XREFs you need to use RECOVERALL command). Sure its tough, but your IT gave up on you.

And this is not Autodesk Support, we are all end users just like you. For Autodesk Support you need to  start a support ticket through your subscription portal as explained here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options#:~....

Be prepared: if this is an IT issue they will also walk away.
