AutoCAD LT2016: curser disappears in model space drawing field

I was recently working away in model space on my offic desktop PC and the pan tool suddenly was activated (perhaps by me accidently) but when I exited out of the pan tool my curser/crosshairs disappeared. As I move the mouse around the curser appears arond the perimeter when I'm over the tool bars, but as soon as I move it into the drawing field it disappears again. 

I've searched online and have pretty much exhausted all the suggestions I could find. Some of them include making sure the pointer/crosshairs are not the same color as the background, going into the GRAPHICSCONFIG, and I even tried restoring the program back to the original system settings. I've also tried restoring my PC, thinking maybe it was a Windows issue, but to no avail.

I suppose my last resort is to uninstall the program and re-download it (I do have my custom settings saved) but wanted to try this first. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

All files, or just the one you are in, even after you restart LT2016?

Unfortunately, that was the first thng I tried. I wish it was something as simple as a prank.

What is your OS? Mouse driver?

All files. OS is Windows 7, tried switching to a different mouse but same thing. Curser/pointer works fine in all other applications, so don't think it's the mouse driver.

I didn't ask if your mouse worked in other programs, I was looking for make/model/driver version type info to search if there are known settings with it 🙂

And restarting Windows7 did not fix this?

Problem solve. Turned out to be a faulty mouse. Once I switched to another mouse everything works as it should. Thanks for your time and interest in helping me with my problem.

I had the exact same problem and changing to a new mouse did nothing to resolve it.  I have not activated the pan tool as the previous person had, I was trying to put in a dimension on a drawing when the cursor disappeared.  I am running the subscription AutoCAD LT 2017 with 32 Gb RAM in my desktop and Windows 10 and the computer is less than 6 months old.  The last AUTOCAD update was downloaded last week so I am fairly certain I am up to date both hardware and software wise.

I don't think it's a hardware issue, Autodesk.  I never had this issue before this new release of LT regardless of how bad the hardware was or how out of date the LT version.  Shutting down AutoCAD LT and restarting it seems to have resolved the problem without fiddling with the hardware acceleration or anything else.

I am having the same problem, except that I am on (I believe) the latest service pack of Autocad 2015. This happens randomly when I do any control, though pan, move, and (just now a new one) locked dimension tool are the most common.

Interesting note: when it happens, it doesn't happen just once: restarting fixes the problem but it always does it several times; But on the days that it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen at all.

There is no fix for "This happens randomly" it's likely a random problem between your mouse driver, video card and AutoCAD  or something else that isn't playing nice.

Try to dig a little deeper: see if a specific command or sequence of commands triggers this action that you can repeat, on demand, to get it to do this.
