Autocad LT reactors using Diesel?

In full AutoCAD I use reactors to automatically set the active layer depending on the command. This is tied in to our layer standards. I realize I can set Dimension, Text, Hatch, Centerline, and Centermark to default layers in AutoCAD LT, but with our standard layers I have other commands that go on specific layers.

Is there a way to use Diesel to make a layer active per command, and then go back to the previous layer which was active prior to the command?

You know how to store a value (setenv) and clayer

You know command change and chprop.

Answer: Yes, it is possible with Diesel and often without Diesel.

But it is much simpler/better to use your toolpalette,

Add your objects and set your layer

@AcmeMfgEng No "reactors" in LT2023 or older. Sorry. nature of DIESEL in AutoCADLT, user is limited to custom button pushing all the time.

I'm new to LT and just now starting to dig in to it. I accepted Sebastian's solution to use the toolpalette.
