AutoCAD LT re-launching every time when opening a new .dwg

Hello everyone,

I have recently installed AUTOCAD LT in my computer.

Every time I want to open a .dwg file is launching AutoCAD LT "again", instead of using the current window I have already open, and add the opened file as a new tab.#

How can I fix this?

Type 'SDI' and make sure this variable is 0 (zero)

Isn't that how AutoCAD/LT has always worked, every new file you open is a new window in the already open program, it does not replace the previous one. EVER.
What variant and year version of AutoCAD did you move from recently that you want this SDImode feature?

Perhaps I'm not being clear enough and I'm sorry about that.

What happens now is that every time I do double click on a .dwg file, it opens ANOTHER Autocad window. I would like to double click on files and for them to open in a different tab of the already opened CAD window.

I have Windows 10Pro, and AutoCAD LT 2021

Do this:
1) In the Windows File Explorer, right-click a DWG file and choose Open With > Choose another app.
2) In the window, select "AutoCAD DWG Launcher."
3) Select the checkbox for "Always use this app to open .dwg files."
4) Click OK.
The drawing file should open in AutoCAD at this point.

If AutoCAD DWG Launcher is not listed as a choice:
Click the down arrow for "Other Programs" to see if it is listed. It may be necessary to click the "Browse" button and manually select the AcLauncher.exe program file at the path listed above.
