AutoCAD LT - Moving the same vertex - on different layers

I have a drawing that is used for mapping. We use multiple layers to distinguish advancement on the map. 

For instance I have a square with two different layers of the square. Each layer has the same exact vertex points. Is there a way to move both layers vertex at the same time to a point/location that is selected. 

The picture posted… top right corner of the box. Has a vertex on the orange layer, and a vertex on the blue layer as well.. how could I move the vertex on both layers at the same time?

Use the STRETCH command (and cross selection)

Ok, I’m a slight beginner, so I hope you bare with me. I selected stretch. Upon selecting object it selects the whole square not vertex… I got it to do it once by luck.. so far I haven’t been able to do it again. Instead I move the whole object.

—- also I’d like to be able to move the vertex’s to another midpoint instead of just a free stretches if that makes any sense?

Okay,

Start the command Stretch, 

Click on an empty place right of the vertex.

Acad ask for a second point now,

click into an empty space left of the vertex, which have to be inside the cross selection area.
