AutoCAD LT - How to change default object text color

I need to know how to change the default text object color.  I don't need to change the dimension text only the text object default color.  For us, we are setting it to orange so our nesting software can attached the text to the piece.  I'm hoping to set a default so our R&D CAD operators won't have to manually change the color every time they start a new drawing.  The orange text will go inside the drawing.  Any suggestions?

Can you share a screenshot or three that show what you do want to change? Your post is a little hard to read without visuals.

TIA

I have attached a screenshot of what the piece would look like.

So you always want text to be orange? Set CECOLOR command to that color.
Or do you want the text to always be the color of the layer? Then change the bylayer color instead to the color you want, text will follow.

You can put dimensions on their own layer with its unique layer color too.;

And STOP drawing on Layer 0: make your own layers and use them instead. Layer 0 is a critical program layer that should remain empty/on/thawed all the time.

We took a look at the CECOLOR command but it looks like it changes all the color on that layer.  So if I drew a box then the box would be orange as well as the text.  Is there a way to have the layer color default to white and have the text color default to orange?  Or is your recommendation to create a layer for the inside text and make it orange?

That's right, that's how it works.

No...BUT.

You can create your own button to create TEXT  or much simpler: Create your own TOOLPALETTE tool [CTRL]+[3]

That's a good way, but then you have to pay attention to CECOLOR, this should be on 'ByLayer'.
(and check if your other software still "understands" the color)
