AutoCAD LT graphics distorting

Hi all,

Newbie here and I am having some distorting of the model space in AutoCAD LT when I am using it. Particularly when zooming in and out and selecting objects. Does anyone know what could be causing this? It doesn't feel like an AutoCAD issue to me - maybe some settings within my graphics?! It isn't stopping me from using the program its just a bit annoying.

Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Best,

Alex

Can you show us what it looks like?

Have you tried turning graphics hardware acceleration on/off?

Video driver up to date?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Post a screenshot of the problem you see, plus screenshots of your ABOUT and GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-ups please.

Here is how to do that if you've never done it before today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots

I have the same issue....

Normal display when working

When zooming

A grey area appears and with additional zooming this will go away. Not a major problem but it is irritating.

You have a very low end graphics option, that's your problem.

Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT.

Also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables: if still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort.
