AutoCAD LT - Alignment point acquisition not working

I usually have alignment point acquisition set to 'Shift to acquire' but today nothing is happening. I have changed the setting to 'Automatic' but that isn't working either. As far as I am aware, I have made no other changes to any of the Drafting or Display settings.

How can I restore alignment points, I use them constantly?

or which steps you  do and what you missing then.

Hello,

Quite why, I don't know, but it seems that AutoTrack was switched off - Object Snap Tracking and Polar Tracking buttons were not displayed on the Status Bar and greyed out when I restored them. Picking them activated AutoTracking and all is now well.

I keep the Status Bar fairly clear since if there are too many buttons displayed, the bar randomly switches from one line to two making the main display jump and object selection a nightmare. Hence I was not aware of the Tracking buttons being off.

Set STATUSBARAUTOWRAP off

or rightclick on Layout tab  dock statusbar above layout tabs.

Unfortunately these are not available in LT - I'm using 2023LT

Doh! I was clicking the status bar, not the Layout tab. But I still don't see a STATUSBARAUTOWRAP variable.

Right, this variable is not on option in LT Version.
