AutoCAD LT 2023 - Properties tab and Design Centre disappear even when selected in View

I have AutoCAD LT 2023 and running on Windows 10.

Intermittently my Properties Tab and Design Centre disappear - even though they show as being selected in View.

Any ideas why and how can I rectify it?

Hi @JamesPowell7164,

Thanks for posting. I have not heard of this before, possibly out of date graphics drivers, or a corrupted user setting file/profile?

Check to see that your graphics drivers are up to date, and then you could test resetting to defaults to see if that resolves the issue. If you export your settings first, you can test if it returns after reimporting them to confirm:

Hi,

What do you mean with "even though they show as being selected in View."?

Share a screenshot where it is selected.

While Designcenter is not there, is ADCSTATE 0 or 1 ?

And PropertiesPalette, CTRL+1 brings them up or not?

For me it sounds you are talking about a saved Workspace..

If so: It is the same as a Dimstyle,

just in the moment you set the Dimstyle or a Workspace current, Acad do some settings - the settings you saved.

But you can change them, that doesn't change the saved workspace or my other sample - the dimstyle.

You can change the state of ADC or you can change the dimtext height..

Your edits are  "Overrides".

Ser the Workspace (or dimscale) current (again) and autocad change all your "overrides" back to <whatever settings you saved in the named Workspace.

Was it a hit, or I missed your topic?

Let us know

.... and have you installed the 2023.1.2 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

This is a screen shot - if you look at the View tab you can see that the Properties and Design Centre are selected but if you look at the screen you can see that they arent present.

If I close the application down, re-open it and start a new drawing then the Properties and Design Centre pallettes arent chosen and I can open them and they appear.

@pendean I have the latest AutoCAD LT 2023 nstalled with all the latest updates.

Any ideas?

ADCSTATE is 1
CTRL+1 just turns the selected palette off - the actual pallette still doesnt apear.

EDIT*

Workspace doesnt have any effect on it - I have made several different ones to see if that fizxes it.

@JamesPowell7164 Your likely issue, a workspace problem (migrated?)? You say no, but we don't have that here either.

Have you implemented any of these solutions yet https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Palett...

Resetting LT2023 will also fix it. Then you might end up manually rebuilding your migrated content from scratch.

I shall have a look at the article. Thanks Dean

*EDIT

Yes this is a migrated workspace. I have also created another workspace to check if it was that - I may have not put that clearly in my last reply.

Hi,

>If I close the application down, re-open it and start a new drawing

>then the Properties and Design Centre pallettes arent chosen

>and I can open them and they appear.

So, after AutoCAD start you can see and use them,

tell us when they disappear.

By Layout switch?

By toggle programs (from acad to excel and back to acad or similar)

?

Or after PC was in Sleep mode, or LockScreen?

>Workspace doesnt have any effect on it - I have made several different >ones to see if that fizxes it.

1. Re-set a saved workspace doesn't help?

   that's really unusual.

Note: A migrated system can work different, multiple "impossible" bugs can appear.

(I would never use it)

See the first answer, reset your system to default (and use the export-option, the program will ask for it)
