Hello AutoCad users,
I'm importing an 3D drawing from an online tool to AutoCAD LT 2023. Normally, when the online tool converts the 3D drawing into a .dwg file, everyting is "projected" on a 2D space without taking the slope into consideration, hence a Topview. Roughly speaking:
will look like this:
long story short, by default the AutoCAD UCS allows me to look at it from the top without projecting it (no cos(24°) involved)
I think I have unknowingly changed something in UCS settings because what I see is that the components in Y-axis is factored with cos(24°). Could you please help me with this issue? Thanks in advance

Hi @g.kocRPKH5,
Thank you for posting. Can you provide the DWG, the program it came from and the version of AutoCAD you are working in to help the Community Members troubleshoot the issue?
All the best.
Hi!
Thank you for your reply.
The 'other' two dimensions follow the slope of the panel (PLAN command setting matched UCS command setting when they were created).
Your dimension is out there floating, and does not follow the slope at all. UCS and PLAN are set to WORLD (flat plane).
Nothing to do with being in LT or AutoCAD from what I can tell. What else did your colleagues do that you did not? Worth watching them do it yourself.
@pendean Thank you for your reply. The colleague who doesn't have the issue did not make any change. We checked his and my UCS and View settings and nothing seems to be different.
You wrote "The 'other' two dimensions follow the slope of the panel (PLAN command setting matched UCS command setting when they were created)."How can I set a default setting for my PLAN to match my UCS? I just opened the file and wrote PLAN on the console, then chose UCS and nothing changes. The only fix I found is clicking the "3 Point" in Coordinates panel, then setting the positive X on the length and positive Y on the width of one of the orange rectangles and than it works. The thing is I don't want to do this manually every time I do a design.
Also, may I ask how did you get the 3D view of the drawing? Thanks a lot.
Dear @pendean and @cheryl.buck ,
It seems that the issue is that the UCS setting with which the file was generated is overrode by my UCS setting. Is there a way to deactivate that? Thanks in advance!

You are in total control my friend
Turn on NEA as a running Osnap, click here and follow the prompts
Now all of your dimensions work fine
