Autocad LT 18 Objects seem like grouped but they are not.

Hello,

I am having this strange issue. In the word file I sent there is the picture of incident.There are multiple objects and when I choose one of them, autocad automatically chooses many similar objects. It looks like they are grouped but they are not because I cannot ungroup them.

I need a solution for this. Thank you.

The objects that I think you are referring too are a block, a block can be exploded, but it is usually better to open it in the blockeditor if you only need to make minor alterations, unless it is repeated, because any alterations are made in each copy of the block.

The thing is I have to do superpose and I need to cut, copy, move etc... to every sketch on that file. So what would you suggest?

Thanks for the file: when I select those objects, and use LIST command or PROPERTIES command, they tell me those are a single block. You might want to ask the file creator about these, they may not wish for you to explode them.

Q: Are you not aware of LIST or PROPERTIES commands to inquire about objects you select on screen?

I cannot really give advice on that without knowing what the problems could be later, in all probability explode is not going to cause any problems (the object I think you are seeing) is the sewage lines, and the block has no attributes so exploding will reduce is back to lines and text objects. But I would strongly suggest making a backup copy just in case. Or if you don't need to alter the existing layout, then make a copy of the block and move it off to one side and explode the copy, then you can take what you need from there.

It's just that blocks can be made for many reasons, and I personally dislike exploding them. If they contain attributes then that information is lost. At least exploding a copy will leave the original safe.

Sorry for late reply.

EXPLODE command just fixed it. I selected one of the object which caused to select all the objects and then I command "EXPLODE" and they all became separated drawings. Just like what I wanted.
