Adding a logo

Hello! I read through many web sites on how to add a logo. The original logo was drawn in Adobe Illustrator. I opened a jpg version in Photoshop and copied it and tried all the options under Special Paste. After each try, I dropped the cad file on the web.Autocad.acad.me page to see if the logo "took". Each time I saw the white square with the "Windows OLE Object" text in it. So then I exporting the logo from Illustrator as a dwg file. I inserted the logo as a Block and worked on the color. I am really a newb at this, would someone mind checking my file and letting me know if it works? Message me if I should send you the dwg.

Thank you so much!

Don't use the special paste option, at the command line type IMAGEATTACH and make sure that the logo is in the same directory as your drawing.

Also you have not attached any drawing. Use the area ringed in the image below to attach it

Hi, Thank you so much for your response. Isn't the logo a reference when using IMAGEATTACH? I want anyone who opens the file not to have a missing logo issue if files get moved.

Yes that is true, but you can also set a full path for an image.

So you can put it in a specific directory on a network drive and no matter where the person saves the drawing as long as they have access to that network drive the image will load

Hi, I need to make sure that if the company changes hands or servers are changed, the holder of the cad file will have what they need. So I inserted the logo as a Block and worked on the color. But I am not sure if I made it correctly.

Hi, I am attaching the logo in Cad form and a jpg so you can see what I am aiming for. Please let me know what I need to change/fix. I need to learn how to do this correctly. Thank you so much for any help.

Hi, thank you for the links, but I tried both options several times and I only get the white box with the text in it that says "Windows OLE Object."

I think I am giving up on getting an image to stay on the dwg file. Any way I paste it, it always comes up missing. Could someone please look at my DWG file above and tell me if it the logo looks like the pdf attached above?

Much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your response, I really appreciate it.

I don't understand why I don't see the logo on my end when sent to a different computer. Maybe I have incorrect settings?

Thank you again.
