Activation emails every time I open AutoCAD Revit LT 2016

Every time I open AutoCAD 2016 LT or Revit 2016 LT it checks for the license over the Internet and sends me an email thanking me for registering and activating the program along with an activation code. EVERY TIME I OPEN THE PROGRAM.

Also I cannot open either program if I am not connected to the Internet so it can phone home.

When I fell for the subscription I was under the understanding that I could use the software offline since I need to go to job sites to do some of my work.

How can I stop the emails that are filling my inbox and how can I work offline?

Thanks,

Tim

Autodesk cannot fix this problem.
Their only suggestion is to ignore the emails.
That is why I am requesting a refund for my subscription.

I cannot ignore this issue.  I could care less about the emails.  My problem is I have a third party piece of software the opens and closes CAD and two days ago when I was running 2009 everything worked fine.  Now it freezes everytime it opens CAD because it has to "verify the license".  I cannot operate my business and therefore if Autodesk cannot fix the issue I will be requesting a refund as well.

Will an Autodesk moderator please respond with clarification that this issue can or cannot be fixed?

With this subscription it takes about 1.5 minutes to open.
I get the splash screen then a white dialogue box that is blank on top of the splash screen.
Then that goes away then I get another dialogue box that says it is checking the license. After it goes away it comes back a second time then finally opens.

Very annoying.

Received an email last night saying this has been resolved. Came in this morning and opened 1 of the 3 new subcriptions and no email. I will be downloading the 3rd one later, hopefully issue free. Thanks Autodesk

Hi all,

Just to follow up on this. We have identified the source of this issue, have fixed all those accounts who were identified, and are working on the mass fix which should be ready shortly. If you are still experiencing multiple activation emails, please contact activation and registration. They will get the email stopped right away. Our sincere apologies again for the activation multiple emails and thank you for your patience in this matter.

We are still having an issue with multiple activation emails.

You suggested getting in contact with registration and activation, but when I click the link "email", it asks me to fill out a very long list form which could take a very long time to fill out when this seems to be a problem on your end. Is there any way of this being resolved without us having to waste our own valueable time.

Our product is already activated and this problem has occured out of the blue!!!

Hi @mike

Sorry to hear you're still receiving the emails! Our IT team has confirmed that everything looks correct on the back end system for your license, and sent along some instructions to have you clear the license information on the computer and re-activate. Please make sure ALL Autodesk programs are closed out completely. If they are not, the below instructions will not work.

From your Windows Start button search for your Control Panel

1. Choose "Folder Options", another window should appear
2. Tab over to "View"
3. Make sure "Show Hidden Files foldes and drives" is checked off.

Locate the C Drive and click into it:

1. Click into Users folder, double click into the user profile you have
2. Click into Appdata
3. Click into Roaming
4. Click into Autodesk
5. Click into ADUT, and delete anything in this folder.
-complete file name to be deleted  C:\User\username\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ADUT\

Go back to the root of the C Drive,
1. Locate ProgramData
2. Click into FlexNet folder
3. Delete all files in this folder, should have "tsf" in the file name:

  • C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data
  • C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data.backup

Once all those files have been deleted, launch AutoCAD LT and re-enter your Serial Number. This should force reactivation and stop the emails. Please let us know if this helps!

Hi Lynn Zhang,

We have followed the instructions and we are still getting the same email.

You mentioned Autocad LT but, as mentioned in the comments, the product we are dealing with is Revit LT.

After re-launching Revit LT a prompt to sign-in to our account popped up but there was no propmt to enter an activation code..?

@mike Sorry to hear the error still exists!

I've done some further troubleshooting for your Revit LT subscription. Could you please wait for a little while and then try again?

Hi Lynn,

We have left it overnight, repeated the process and we are still getting the same email.

Once we start Revit LT a box comes up saying that the licence is being verified, it then goes away and Revit LT opens as usual.

Mike,

This is an Autodesk issue no matter what they are telling you.The problem is not on your end.

I had the same problem for weeks and they finally resolved it.

This is a known problem and they can't seem to get a handle on it.

This is why I got a refund for my copy of Autocad Revit 2016 LT.

Good luck with them.

You need to open a support case. This forum is not going to help with this.
