*.shp files

I am trying to create a shape file to go into Arcmap with LDD 2005. I have closed polygon with polylines. When I select the bullet on polylines it comes in as a dot. I select the bullet on the lines portion and under options to close it and then it comes in as a polyline, but it is not closed. Any thoughts?

I am not really sure I understand your question or process. However if it
were me, I would create a polygon shapefile using the following method.

1. Create closed polylines
2. Use the Mapexport command
3. Select Polygon Shapefile as export option
4. Select features I wish to export making sure to check the Treat Closed
Polylines as Polygons option
5. Export to shapefile

Another method that works is to generate a polygon topology using the Map
tools in Land Desktop. Then you can export the polygon topology out to a
polygon shapefile also using the Mapexport command.
