Solved: Z-axis linear dimention

I am using AutoCAD 2015 version. I have a model in 3d on which I am trying to get linear measurements, on X and Y axis, i am able to do it. As soon as I change the view to Front and try to measure the length (Z axis), its not doing it. I am a beginner to AutoCAD, this might be something very basic, can someone please help.

you can click on your UCS icon ( Lower ~~Right~~ Left ) and rotate it . >> Click <<
