I am trying to get the XREF's on my drawings to plot lighter. I put them in an XREF layer and set the trans to 80% but that does not work. Any help would be great!

Your plot style table is probably overriding those settings: post your PLOT command pop-up screenshot and let's see what you are using.

Hi,

if your xref have a lot of layers ... then to get your xref more lighter you have to do the follow :

  • From Layout model prepare your VP and pick inside it .
  • Type Layer command.
  • start horizontal scrolling till you see VP Color /  VP Transparency.
  • either you change the color or transparency for the xref layers (you can select them easily from filters at the dialog beginning).
  • all what you do it here in the Layout will NOT effect your Model space elements.

Hi,

Mine is a bit more complex question. I have a 3D Xref model attached wich of course hiddens some parts of the AS model. Well, when creating GA drawings, i don´t want the Xref to hide anything at all and just be shown as secondary lines. Is this possible at all?. So far the only way i found to do this is unload the Xref and updating the drawing.

Thanks in advance.
