The right way is to attach the image with relative path (or non, if the image is in tge same folder). Send your DWG and the imagefile.

The perfect way: Use command etransmit for all external stuff like fonts images other xrefs plotstyletable..

The only way to paste an image as content to dwg is to insert it as embedded OLE object.

But i not prefer to merge raster data with your well vector datas in your dwg.

So: Attached img bind directly is not possible.

This subject matter has been discussed many times in this forum.
Hint: Place image into clipboard then PASTESPEC - accept the prompts.

Embed, not bind.

Just in case someone else needs the info, there is a way! (two actually)

1. PASTESPEC command in AutoCAD (as mentioned before) and after CTRL-A and CTRL-C of the image in MS Paint

2. CTRL-V after CTRL-A and CTRL-C of the image in MS Paint (Okay pop-up window)

File must be less than 1MB

The prescribed file size requirement is mentioned here https://www.cadlinecommunity.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360016935937-AutoCAD-Tip-Embed-Images-into-Auto...
