X-ref layers not showing up in layer manager

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a drawing that doesn't seem to show the x-ref layers in the x-ref tab on layer manager. I can see the layers that are within the x-ref when I switch to "All" and it shows that it recognises that it is part of that x-ref by putting the name of the x-ref in front of the layer.

Any help on this issue would be appreciated!

Are you sure the "XREF" has not been bound to the file and is now a block?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Yup, my first thought was something along those lings so I detached and re-attached it and still nothing.

I was thinking that the "Invert filter" box was checked but if it were, you wouldn't see anything under "All".

Can you post screen shots and/or a portion of the files?

Check to see if you inserted a host xref into your model space that also has the xref in it that you want to be in your drawing instead of just the actual xref by itself.

same issue. major problem that wastes hours fighting with this autocad glitch. xref layers don't show in the layers dialogue. no solution. have to close down acad and reopen app/file for it to work for a little while then do it again.

That would appear to be an issue you probably should open a support ticket to get resolved: Here are the ways to open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help:
