Wrong dimensions between model space and layout

Hello,

I'm facing an issue with dimensions in the layout space. I've drawn a line of 100mm in lenght in the model space and I used Linear dimension on it, the lenght is good with 100mm. Now, in the layout space, I create a viewport with a scale of 1:1, my line is displayed with the dimension of 100mm, then, I use again the linear dimension and I get a dimension of 99.77mm.

I checked the viewport settings, dimension properties, and nothing seems wrong.

Any ideas ?

Thank you !

Is your viewport set to a scale?
Are you snapping to the endpoints of that line with both dimensions?
DIMASSOC variable, what is it set to?

Just post the drawing and we will see what's wrong.

Thank you for your answers Dean and blyoung,

This is the property panel from the viewport:

I selected the snap mode "Endpoint" to avoid any error when creating the dimension.

The DIMASSOC variable is set to "2"

I attached the dwg to this post.

Increase DIMRND variable to more than two decimal points accuracy (I set it to 1/10000) and your modelspace dimension will match your paperspace dimension of 99.77

Your line is not exactly 100 long.

Click into MS and change your view from custom to top and then reset your VP scale to 1:5 and the dimension is right.
