Write Block Base Point not 0 at Y co-ordinate

I selected an object and moved it to the origin of 0,0,0 via Move, Shift # 0 Tab 0 Enter. Then I selected the object from a centre point, did WBLOCK, picked a Base Point which was the same centre point as was used to move the object to 0,0 but after do so the Write Block dialogue window shows a Y co-ordinate value of -0.0.0000028 whats the explanation for this?

If running object snaps are on and some object is near that point, the object snap will choose a point on the nearby object instead of the point you typed in.

Hi, I have only the Centre Snap on, and the drawing contains 1 single object, a 3D object, the object I'm using to create a block from. I decided to just move the object from it's centre point to 0,0 and write the block without choosing a base point, that way it uses 0,0 as default. Still, it's a mystery why there's a variation in the Y value, i've noticed this on more than 12 drawings destined to be used as blocks.
