Wrap multiple (open) objects

Is it possible to wrap a closed polyline around other objects who don't touch each other? For example two circles or several objects? I tried srinkwrap but that doesn't work with separated objects or not closed objects. I just want to create a surrounded closed polyline of any object like the one in the example.

i put a rectangle around every thing and BOUNDARY command with the point in between your work and the rectangle.

There are tons of gaps in your work  so I believe it does not work the way you describe.  Zoom in and compare the line work.

Hi,

It looks like the drawing was converted from PDF, so there are so many gaps between each object. You could use PEDIT and join these object together by playing with Fuzz distance and this would not completely join them and you need to do them manually.

f the intent is to trace the objects you may want to look a Lee Mac's polyline trace lisp "Segs"

I apologize if this not the intent I scanned this thread quickly.

As a side note about boundary >> I seem to have mixed results and end up using the Segs lisp

Best Regards

Tim
