The wipeout command attached to our blocks has disappeared. We have all had computer updates from IT department. Could this affect the command? What would be the fix, short of going into each block?

disappeared?
Or do you just need to turn on the WIPOUTFRAME variable then thaw/unlock/turn on all the layers too?

wipeoutframe is on, all layers are thawed and unlocked. I can use the wipeout command and works fine. It is just the command in all my blocks have disappeared. I have opened different drawings with different versions of autocad. The same thing. Any drawing that had wipeout in it already is still there, but if you try to bring in the same block as in the drawing there is no wipeout. So basically the blocks in my pallete that had wipeout do not have it now. I have also looked at all the native files that make up my blocks, same thing.

A block with that exact name already exists in your file, it has no wipeout, and your newer-with-wipeout version is outside the file: AutoCAD basics 101, content already in the file governs 100% of the time.

RENAME the block in the DWG file, then try to bring in your desired version from your TP.
