wipeout command → Frame option → what is display but not plot ?

I do not see the difference between " display but not plot " and "ON - frames are displayed and plotted"  because in both cases frames are plotted. Why so ?  You can check my two dwg file "wipeoutframe 1 " and " wipeoutframe 2"

For usual and how it works on our workstation with your files too:

"display but not plot" = You can see it on monitor, but not in your plot result (paper,image or pdf..)

"on" = you can see it on monitor and in your plot result as well.

I am 99% sure it is not the case. Are you sure you didn't made mistake in your test?

"wipeoutframe 1.dwg"

Sysvar "wipeoutframe" is set to 2 => "display BUT NOT plot"

And it works, see Z9E3zK5E attachments

Answer: This is the plot result of your drawings!

The one with, the other one without wipeoutframes. Just open your attached dwg files, run plot, that's all.

Test it again, i am sure it will works.

The only problem i see are the poorly titled dwg files

wipeoutframe 2 for the wipeoutframe 1 file

wipeoutframe 1 for the wipeoutframe 2 file

that's why i guess you got bogged down with the test

Test it again with my attached file, just open the file and while in Model tab, Command: PLOT<enter>[OK]

if it is visible, share your PDF and share a screenshot of dialog, command: ABOUT

?what You uploaded two PNG files, for PDF it i the same way.

I think you used the PLOT command one ore more time in the past,

so it's nothing new for you.

Open the file,

Type-in PLOT<press enter>

press [OK]

If I may ask: what did you think needed to happen in the PDF?

No, it doesn't matter which output is used - digital or paper, all the same.

If another printer shows another result, there is something special with this printer-driver or settings.

Start PLOT, Select another printer, press [Preview] - The frame should'nt appears while wipeoutframe is set to 0 or 2

I see WIPEOUTFRAME 0 setting have effect on paper space but WIPEOUTFRAME 2 setting does not make any difference in paper space.

In your other thread i see you have a hard time with documentation and help from others, so i let it be how it is now.

Paperspace is not a plot, it is a space to setup a drawing (drawing frame, legend, stamp ...).

Near to a plot ist the Plot[Preview], but it is also just a try to give you an idea of how it would come out afterwards,

must not 100% identical with you plot (paper & digital files like jpeg or PDF).
