Windows 10 update causes wayward lines making program unusable

Since updating my machine from windows 7 to windows 10, there are now matrices of wayward lines all over any file I open making it virtually impossible to use.  I've attached a screen shot of what I am seeing.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.  I have already tried updating my cad software.

Turn off LINEFADING and LINESMOOTHING variables, and if that does not help, try turning off hardware acceleration: your video card (and/or the current driver) can't handle AutoCAD is the basic problem.

I will try. Thank you for the tips, I’ve needed an excuse to upgrade my video card anyway

The driver needed to be updated.  I still do get some wayward lines when in 3D, but I think that is due to an underperforming graphics card.
