I created some views (including UCS set) and saved them in 3D model file. Why the UCS changed when I reloaded these saved views?

Please help.

I am not sure I understand your problem.

UCS are supposed to be captured in a saved view.

From your images, it appears that the WCS was captured in the saved view and when recalled, it looks like it is in the WCS UCS.

Thanks @ennujozlagam   It seems the problems were not caused by ucsfollow and ucsortho. I didn't change the parameter before the saved views not working. they worked well several days ago.

Thanks @TheCADnoob

Yes, when I recalled the view, UCS changed ( It didn't keep what I set when I created the view).

@Laurel.cao You are always in control when creating a VIEW: I don't see where you shared any details there, can you do a test then share all the pop-ups with us here?

UCSFOLLOW settings you have before you do that would be helpful to understand too.

The "UCSVIEW" have been keeping as "1" in this dwg file. all the saved views worked well before... This problem just happened recently... I never changed any system variable setting during the modeling. I am not sure if this file was damaged because of lot of views being created and saved. this problem happened 4 or 5 years ago.

The snapshot below is shown as a good saved view. It means when the view is recalled, the UCS keeps as the same as when this view was created.

Invalid?

To open your drawing, start

Command: _.RECOVER

run

Command: _.Audit _yes

and

Command: _.QSave

Close&Reopen your file.

Pls share a screenshot of dialog, command: _ABOUT

and share a copy of this file,  tell us views name you used for your screenshots above.

Thanks for your suggestion. I did "RECOVER" and "AUDIT", but the problem keeps there! And every saved view has problem in this file now.....

It seems AutoCad has limited saved views.. This kind of problem happened on several years ago.

Did you know anyone who had such problem? And such problem got the solution?

AutoCad seems no way to copy a file with saved views to a new file!

It took me too long time but couldn't find a way to figure out the problem.

I won't re-create your situation, hoping to reproduce the issue.

No. I don't know about this problem and I didn't checked it.

But if you share your file, public or private, we will check the issue.

Thanks for your paying attention to the problem.

I am afraid couldn't share this complicated file now....

I will find the time to clean up the saved views to see if Autocad has limited the maximum number of the views to be saved. (I guess so!)

Hi,

>>"I am afraid couldn't share this complicated file now...."

Nobody needs the complicated content, create a copy of this file and kick off all the stuff, except your named view,

safe the file, close and reopen the file - run a test and if the issue still exist, share the file.

>>"I will find the time to clean up the saved views to see if Autocad has limited the maximum number of the views to be saved. (I guess so!) "

And a test on your side needs just some minutes. Delete half of the views, test it again. Delete all views except the one sample view and test it again.

Hi Cadffm,

First, I deleted most of the saved views to see if the UCS could be back when I reloaded the left views. Unfortunately, the problem kept happening. Even a new view was created and the UCS was changed when this new view was reloaded.

I saved this problem file as a new file, deleted all items and just drew a simple box and cone. Created a new view and save as "ucs test". When I reloaded this view, the UCS changed.

It seams  AutoCad limited the saved view numbers and couldn't repair the file after the problem having happened.

Please find attached file for your review. Hope you can find the problem and give the solutions.

Hi,

thx for sharing, this way more people will trying to help.

>>"It seams AutoCad limited the saved view numbers and couldn't repair the file after the problem having happened."

No, you can reproduce the same in a fresh file with only one new named view too.

>>"Why the UCS changed when I reloaded saved view?"

>>"When I reloaded this view, the UCS changed"

Please confirm:

This doesn't only happen when you restore a view "again",
This already happens when you create the view! right?

Unfortunately, I probably don't have time for an explanatory answer (in English) on New Year's Eve.
